Day 3

Some time during Day 3, perform the Daily Encounters in the Mountain from Day 1.

Skirmish of the Two Armies

On the third day, the general and his man are waylaid by a small army from Creed, an enemy kingdom. The enemy soldiers have snuck through the border to prevent the Permanent Silence spell from being lifted. The Kingdom of Creed likes to keep the Kingdom of Fifty Reeds in silence for military and economic advantage. At the end of the skirmish, the general will have fifteen men left.

If the PC's advances in front of the general's men (based on previous day's adventure), they will miss the battle entirely. If they are behind the general's men, they will encounter this skirmish. They can easily side-step the battle without getting much attention. If they decides to help the general or the enemy, they will be attacked by both sides eventually.

Side-Show Bandits

Side-Show Bandits is a large group of well-organized bandits in the local area. They have decided to obtain the Gensu seeds and sell each seed in a series of auctions to the highest bidders. They have sat-up camp in June mountain, six months ahead of time, ambushing and killing adventurers who are after the Gensu seeds. At this time, they have already slaughtered many, including innocent hunters and rangers, for this cause. The Side-Show Bandits will avoid military men at all cost, but they will ambush any other adventurers.

The Side-Show Bandits sat-up three ambushes along the mountain path. Their main camp is to the east side of the ambushing points. The party can attempt to survive all three ambushes and continue up the mountain without crossing path with the main encampment. Or they can explore, find the main camp, and attempt to destroy it.

Ambush 1

The first group of bandits consists of three archers. They will shoot any adventurers that pass, but will not engage in melee combat. In fact, they will avoid detection and run if necessary. Their goal is to weaken the adventurers for the next two bandit groups.

Ambush 2

The second group of bandits is about a quarter mile, from the Ambush 1, up the mountain pass. This group of bandits consists of two archers and three warriors. Surviving archers from Ambush 1 will join this group. Together, they will attack any party smaller in size to their group. Otherwise, they will do the same as Ambush 1.

Ambush 3

The third group of bandits is about half miles up the road, from Ambush 2. It consists of seven warriors. They will attempt to finish off the passing adventurers through melee attacks. A magic user is part of this bandit group for support. Surviving bandits from the previous two ambushes will join this group.

Bandit Camp

The bandit camp is in a large clearing about half miles east of the three ambush points. It is lead by Hunterchain Skylock (see character profile) and has twenty men. There are seven tents in the camp, with each tent serving two to three men. Hunterchain's tent is in the middle of the clearing, surrounded by the other tents and guarded by two men at all times.
